Mr. Smith has been active in systems management and design since 1978.

In the late '80s Mr. Smith recognized a need in the marketplace for a client centered information technology consulting firm and along with his partners formed the M.I.S. Corporation in 1991.

His firm specializes in helping its clients gain the greatest benefit they can from automation and computing.  Mr. Smith brings over 25 years of experience in networking, personal computers, technology and security consulting to the firm’s clients.

Mr. Smith has designed systems to not only allow for effective utilization of corporate resources but also to allow for the automation in such diverse areas as Systems Security, Disaster Recovery, Client Management, Not-for-Profit Management, Health Care, Law Firm Administration, and Accounting.  He has designed and implemented systems utilizing many different operating systems and environments.

Mr. Smith is a 1977 graduate of the University of Missouri at St. Louis holding a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with an area of concentration in Management Information Systems.

Mr. Smith is active in the Boy Scouts of America and trains adult leaders in the Pathfinder District, Greater St. Louis Area Council.  He has personally trained hundreds of Boy Scout and Cub Scout leaders in his 14 years of service to Scouting.
