Lots of Folks Thinking Yellow Helped in a Pinch
A month or so ago, I sent a message to Yellow-Tie members asking for ideas on venues for my (and Gill's) 30-year high school class reunion. Our reunion committee had struck out with every facility we had called, and our planned date was fast approaching.
With nearly a 75 percent response and more than 40 suggestions from our Yellow-Tie members, I was able to make a valuable connection. Cathy Sexton (principal of On Point Solutions, 636-680-1980, cathy@onpointsolutionsllc.com) introduced me to Michael Friedman, at Orlando Gardens (314-713-4434, mfriedman@orlandogardens.com). Right away, Michael assured me that he could take care of us (even though someone on our committee had called Orlando Gardens earlier and had gotten a blanket "not available any time during that month" response).
Not only did Michael secure our ideal date, he came in right at our budget, and he stayed in contact through the whole process.
This is a true example of how Thinking Yellow benefits a lot of people. Our 159 classmates now have a nice evening ahead of them in 2008. Thank you, Michael. Thank you, Cathy. And thanks to all the folks who were kind enough to send those great suggestions for a venue.
Keep Thinking Yellow!
