Tech Special Interest Group (SIG)

Document Actions
A group of owners/executives of companies providing technical services to create, maintain, and/or deliver technical solutions to clients. Each member should have a leadership role in his or her company.

We hope this question-and-answer session with Chris Marshall, director of the Tech SIG, will help you decide whether this Yellow-Tie group is a fit for you.

If you want to visit a future Tech SIG meeting to determine whether the group fits you and you fit the group, contact Chris using any of the means specified below and ask to be invited.

---

Q: We would like to hear your story -- why did you start this SIG?

A: This group was started with the desire to build a group of owners/executives of growing technical companies that could learn from each other, help each other, and assist the Yellow-Tie membership on technical issues.

---

Q: How else would you describe the people you want in your group?

A: The members of the Tech SIG sell to businesses of all sizes -- and to consumers as well. Some of the individual companies specialize in different market segments and bring a wide range of skills to their clients.

---

Q: When, where and how often does your SIG meet?

A: The Tech SIG meets monthly on the 4th Thursday of the month for lunch. Each member in turn "hosts" the luncheon, chooses the restaurant, and pays for lunch. We schedule the meeting for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

---

Q: Who are your current members?

A: At this time, our SIG includes these people:

  • Wendy Gauntt
  • Louise Wiedermann
  • Chris Marshall
  • Dave Chronister
  • Mark Richmann & Oliver Block
  • Steve Smith

---

Q: What else do you want to tell people about your SIG?

A: Our vision is a group of owners/executives of companies providing technical services to create, maintain, and/or deliver technical solutions to clients. Each member should have a leadership role in his or her company.

---
