Directors receive the following full membership benefits:

• The privilege of participating in one Referral Network where peers work together to grow one another's businesses through referrals, collaboration on workshops, marketing, prospecting, etc., idea sharing and idea generation, and any other way they can leverage the power of the group.
• The right to start or participate in any or all Yellow-Tie Special Interest Groups you want.
  
• Password access to all tools (software, books, graphics, web templates, etc.) donated to Yellow-Tie by its members or sponsors, or custom-built by Yellow-Tie International.
• The opportunity to submit articles, tools, tips and techniques to the Yellow-Tie membership as a means of attracting clients or customers to you.
• First option to apply to speak at the international conference.
• You may attend all fee-based programs at a discounted member rate.
• You may bring clients, customers or guests to all fee-based programs at the discounted member rate. (Note: If you invite a client, customer or guest, you must also attend.)
• You get an official Yellow-Tie, magnetic name tag for use at Yellow-Tie events and a personal, customized-with-your-company-logo, magnetic name tag you can wear everywhere.
• You may customize your own searchable web page on the Yellow-Tie website so that visitors who need your products and services can easily find you.
• You may take advantage of all discounts offered by other Yellow-Tie members.
• You may offer discounts to other Yellow-Tie members and receive the marketing benefit of having done so.
• You may attend the international conference at the discounted member rate. (International conferences will begin being held once the total membership exceeds 5,000 people.)

• Get mentored in your efforts to grow your Referral Network or Special Interest Groups.
  
• Get priority consideration to speak at your chapter’s training workshops and executive briefing programs (based on availability and quality of presentation), and at the international conference.
• May attend the annual Directors Party (organized and conducted by your chapter board of directors) at no charge. (Note: These will be held once a chapter's membership exceeds 100 full members.)
• Get your full membership fee refunded if you recruit three, paying, full members to join Yellow-Tie within three months.
• Get your annual renewal membership fee waived if you have three full members in your Referral Network at the time of your renewal.

A Director-level membership costs US$340 for the first year and renewals are $240 annually (unless you meet the criteria listed in either of the last two bullet points above, in which case it costs nothing).

Responsibilities and Duties

As a director, you will be responsible for:

• Recruiting people to join the Referral Network or Special Interest Group you run. (Your mentor will help you accomplish this.)
• Scheduling, announcing and leading your group meetings.
• Improving the Yellow-Tie program by submitting new ideas to your chapter’s board of directors and commenting on ideas submitted by your fellow directors.
• Ensuring that your group's members live up to their obligations to you, your group and Yellow-Tie.
